Out of The Shade

You’ve deny me much. I’ve been in your shadow long enough. This is not where I belong. The strength inside can no longer hold off it’s true intentions. Devasting maneuvers must be made to knock down this wall. To destroy what I almost became. I will be free. No longer a prisoner of self doubt and remorse. Cut loose from the chains of other people’s thoughts and unbound from judgemental ropes. I will walk boldly in the light of the sun. I will not hide or seek refuge from the challenges to come. I break away from you, depression. I need you not, anxiety. Goodbye, sorrows.

I am my present to my future
