What’s the first impression you want to give people?
This is a very interesting prompt. We get to explain how we want people to perceive us and it gives such an opportunity for one to open up and be vulnerable with the world. I don’t think anyone should miss an opportunity to state what they want no matter the median. It’s vital to state it because that’s the first step of altering the reality towards what you want.
My perception of myself, up until last night, is to be the humblest person in the room. I work out and I keep a well trimmed appearance, so on approach, people may think I’m full of myself and that wasn’t the case.
On the way to my oldest brother’s bday event last night, my girlfriend opened up to me about how she sees me. To sum it up, on a scale of 1-10, she gives me 300. She broke it down to me in a way I’ve never heard and I thought I was the writer. Haha! She made me realize while on the outside, I’m humble. Inside, I’m shrinking. It’s the child inside me that got made fun of and never complimented that shows up in these rooms.
Not anymore. I changed it last night and I had a really good time doing so.
So in summary, I’d like my first impression to be that of an accomplished individual that radiates humility, but also KNOWS he’s the protagonist of the story.
