When was the first time you really felt like a grown up (if ever)?
So my first time feeling like a grown up was Iraq 2004. I spent a whole year there wheeling and dealing with my army buddies. I had to deal with IEDs, motor attacks, and other soldier’s negligence on a regular basis. Any given day could be my day to punch out, if you get my drift.
I was 19 and turned 20 while I was over there. Leave it to a war zone to take the fun out of growing up.
I learned a lot about myself and the world during that tour of duty. While it did leave me with some life altering ailments, I don’t regret it.
I'm and up and coming writer from Memphis, Tennessee that believes we are all born to play our part in the universe. I'm on a mission to inspire others as well as stir your imagination through my passion for words. Here, you'll find inspirational poetry, all original fictions, and random events about my life. If you're reading this, please take a moment to comment or send an email so I can thank you personally for taking the time to read my work. That and I really like to connect with others and learn your story as well. My first novel will be releasing July 7, 2020 titled "Universing". Thank you for visiting my corner of the web.
